HPAT 2025 Registrations Closing Soon!

If you plan to sit HPAT in 2025 and have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. Registrations to sit HPAT 2025 will close on Friday, 17th of January at 5:15 pm GMT! Remember that this is your only chance to sit HPAT in 2025.
If you miss the registration date, you can still make a late registration until Sunday, 2 February at 5:15 pm GMT. However, this will attract a late fee. After this final deadline you will need to wait until next year's HPAT to apply.
The 4 Step Process to Register for HPAT
There are a number of steps that you must follow in order to register for HPAT and book a HPAT 2025 testing date:
Step 1: Apply to the CAO
To complete you HPAT 2025 registration, you will first need to obtain a CAO number. You can get a CAO number online at www.cao.ie
Step 2: Create an ACER account
Create an ACER account by visiting https://registration.acer.edu.au/
When creating an account, it is important that you provide an email address that you will check regularly. You must also ensure that the name and date of birth you register with exactly matches the identification document you will use on HPAT test day.
Step 3: Register for HPAT
Login to your ACER account and register to sit HPAT.
In the section which asks which test you are registering for, make sure to select ‘HPAT – Ireland’.
Step 4: Book a HPAT testing session
Your HPAT test will be remotely proctored via ProctorU. This involves sitting the test using your own computer under live supervision.
Book your ProctorU testing session via your ACER account by clicking on the Log in to ProctorU tab on the homepage under Schedule, Update or Sit your test session. Select HPAT - Ireland ACER as your institution, you can then choose a date and time to sit the HPAT. Our blog provides some advice on which testing session to choose.
You should select ‘HPAT – Ireland – ACER’ for the institution. You should then choose the date and time you would like to sit HPAT and click ‘schedule’. Ensure that you have chosen the correct timezone when scheduling your HPAT exam.
These steps may sound like a lot of work (and perhaps your head is already swimming as you study for your Leaving Certificate), but they are essential to follow if you wish to sit HPAT to enter medicine.
