Thomas Wynne Scholarship About Thomas Wynne Born in 1627, Dr Wynne was attracted to the study of medicine early on but the death of his father and financial strain made learning difficult. He eventually became admitted to the profession after studying under an established surgeon. Wynne served as a speaker for the first two Pennsylvania Assemblies, acted as a Justice of Sussex county, and was appointed justice of the provincial court. Criteria This bursary is awarded to students with outstanding and demonstrated leadership skills, who receive offers to medical schools. This bursary is available to one student from Ireland each year. Value Up to €500. Information/documentation required to apply
