Margaret Chan Scholarship About Margaret Chan Margaret Chan is the director general of the World Health Organisation (WHO). Dr Chan considers the health of the people of Africa and the health of women to be the key priorities, and wishes to focus the attention of WHO on people in the greatest need. Criteria This bursary is awarded to a student who sits HPAT in an overseas location (not being Australia/NZ/Ireland), obtains the highest HPAT score and is offered a place in medical school in Ireland.
